Three months before your lease is due to end: this is the best time to start researching your options. You can choose to either lease a new Toyota or purchase your current vehicle. If you opt to lease a new vehicle, you'll want to make sure to have your current vehicle inspected and make any needed repairs before you turn it in and drive off in your next car.

Two months out: if you're planning to turn in your current vehicle, this is the time to have it inspected. Toyota's independent vehicle inspection company, AutoVIN, will conduct a complimentary inspection at your convenience, and they will inform you if you're looking at any excess wear and use fees.

30 days before your lease ends: you've likely made your final decision by now, so this is the ideal time to make sure that you sew up the final details and ensure that the process runs as smoothly as possible for you.
