In our last post, we featured news about Toyota Prius receiving recognition from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety for child safety seat ease-of-use. This time around we've learned of similar news regarding the RAV4. In a press release from earlier today, Toyota announced that Cars.com recently named the 2016 RAV4 to its Car Seat Honor Roll, thanks its child safety seat mounts which are easy to access and use.
Only six vehicles, out of 84 model-year 2016 and 2017 vehicles tested, received the distinction. The compact sport utility vehicle earned a perfect score in each category of the test, and was praised by testers for its large backseat which easily accommodates rear-facing baby seats.
“We’ve put a lot of effort into making installation of child safety seats easier, and we’re glad to see that it’s working,” said Jennifer Pelky, senior safety engineer at Toyota’s North American R&D Headquarters. “I have two young boys myself, and child passenger safety is of the utmost importance to me, both as a mother and an engineering professional that has an active role in LATCH development on Toyota vehicles.”
Here at Northway Toyota, we're proud to include the RAV4 in our lineup of new Toyota models, and we'd love the opportunity to show you what separates it from the competition.
